TRANSCRIPT BELOW:

Hi everyone! I’m going to show you how to set up domain forwarding for your website

Domain forwarding is a valuable feature, and you may want to use it for several reasons.

For example, if you’re not yet ready to build a website, you may want to claim your unique domain name for you or your business, and then you can forward your domain to a social media profile or even a free website that you’ve made using Website.com.

By doing this, you’ll also easily add so much professionalism to your business at a very low, yearly cost.

If you do have a website, you may want to register common variations or misspellings of your domain name, so that you can forward them to your main website.

That way, you won’t miss out on any potential visitors that were meaning to visit your website.

Lastly, if you made a change to your business name, you may want to keep ownership of your old brand name so that you can forward users to your website using your new business name.

In this tutorial, I’ve already registered for a Domain Only Plan from Website.com.

Now I’ve logged into my account, and I’m on the Member Dashboard.

I’ll expand My Domain, and choose Domain Forwarding.

Now simply click to Enable Domain Forwarding.

I’m going to forward this domain name to my Facebook Page for my business, so I’ll copy the page URL for it, and paste that here.

Keep in mind it may take around 15 minutes to an hour for the forwarding to be completed, so you may not see it right away.

When the forwarding is successful, when people type my domain name into the address bar, it will direct them to my business’s Facebook Page.

So that’s how easy it is! We hope that was helpful, and remember to subscribe to Website.com for more website tips and tutorials. Thanks for watching!
