Looking to add a hit counter to your website?
A hit counter is a simple way to show how many visits you’ve received on your website, on any of you web pages, and is great for your own tracking, as well as letting other visitors know about how popular your website is.
To add a hit counter, I’m logged into my website builder, and in the left sidebar, I’ll click on Site Settings, and then click Website Settings again.
Now you’ll see you can go ahead and click Site Hit Counter.
Add To Site, and the hit counter will be enabled for your site.
But you will see other settings you can choose for your hit counter.
You can start the counter at a different number, for example, let’s say you had your website hosted on another account, you may want to start the counter at the number of hits that you had on your previous website.
You can choose the style you’d like for the hit counter, and you can preview what that looks like on your site footer.
And you can also choose if you’d like to add text to your hit counter.
The prepend label will appear before the number, and the append label will appear after.
So let’s turn that on and I’ll leave the labels as is.
Now save and publish changes.
One more note, is that you can access the hit counter by going back to start, on the left you can choose Marketing and SEO, and then choose site hit counter here.
So this is just another access point to get to the hit counter within the site builder.
We’ll hit publish again so I can publish anything else I’ve updated on my website.
And now I’ll go to the live site.
And you’ll see that the hit counter is now on the bottom here.
So that’s it for this video!
As you can see, it’s so simple to add a hit counter to publicly display the number of visitors on your website. We hope this was helpful and thanks for watching!
